Marcus Rashford could be reunited with a former Manchester United teammate at FC Barcelona, should a new report prove valid.

Ruben Amorim’s squad recorded an impressive 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield yesterday, with Man United’s lineup appearing confident on the ball and exhibiting great mental composure throughout the encounter.

Given United’s decent form in recent matches, it seems that the club is faring just fine without Rashford, who is spending the season on loan at Barcelona.

Still, he too seems to be enjoying life in La Liga.

Rashford’s rise

Since arriving at the Camp Now, Rashford appears to be enjoying life in a Barca shirt.

He appears to be going from strength to strength for the Catalans, performing admirably against Real Oviedo, where he bagged one of four assists that he completed in consecutive games.

As a result of his fine form, it seems that Barcelona are keen to keep the English winger at the club beyond his loan deal.

As The Peoples Person noted, Barcelona are reportedly willing to trigger the £30m purchase option that United inserted into the loan agreement.

If a recent report is to be believed, he might not be the only former United star to grace the Camp Nou pitch.

Enter Mason Greenwood

One report claimed that United are keen on reuniting with Mason Greenwood.

While his exit from Old Trafford was mired in controversy, United are reportedly deliberating a massive €100m (£86.8m) bid for the Marseille star.

Still, it seems that Barcelona are willing to step in to jeopardise any transfer plans that Amorim and his team might have.

TBR Football understands that Barcelona scouts were in attendance to watch Marseille forward Mason Greenwood in their 6-2 win over Le Havre on Saturday, with the former Manchester United talent scoring four goals,” TBR Football reported yesterday evening.

“Hansi Flick’s side are in the market for another forward for the summer of 2026, and they are believed to have Atletico Madrid’s former Manchester City star Julian Alvarez high on their list of options,” the report explained.

“Greenwood is a player that Barca have followed since his loan stint at fellow La Liga side Getafe, and they considered conducting a deal before he moved to Marseille last year,” the article continued, indicating that Barcelona’s interest in Greenwood has been long established.

It will be intriguing to see whether Greenwood and Rashford will ultimately reunite at Barca, with United seemingly better off without them and the dressing room drama that came with their presences.
