Barcelona send public message to former manager Pep Guardiola | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona on Sunday sent a message of congratulations the way of former head coach Pep Guardiola.

This comes after the Spaniard hit a remarkable milestone in his managerial career.

Guardiola this evening guided Manchester City into a Premier League showdown with Liverpool, the 1000th game of his time as a coach.

Tributes, in turn, have since come pouring in for the Spaniard, with Barcelona having been amongst the first to reach out to Guardiola.

In a post on their official social media platforms, the Blaugrana wrote:

‘You are and will always be part of our history. Congratulations, Pep, on your 1,000 matches as a coach!’

Guardiola for his part enjoyed a 3-0 victory over Man City on his special day, whilst Barca, now under the watch of Hansi Flick, put four past Celta Vigo to close the gap on Real Madrid in the La Liga table to three points.
