Barcelona set sights on ‘the Ecuadorian Haaland’ | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona are amongst the leading suitors of young striker Juan Riquelme Angulo.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have named the Blaugrana as one of a number of clubs expressing a keen interest in a player already labelled ‘the Ecuadorian Haaland’.

Angulo has for his part spent the last few weeks making a name for himself at the South American Under-15 Championships.

All told, across six appearances, the frontman has racked up four goals, thoroughly impressing with his performances en route to a spot in the competition’s showpiece this weekend.

And such endeavours, it is understood, have not gone at all unnoticed across the pond…

As per a report from Sport, Angulo has made his way onto the radars of several leading European sides, not least of all the aforementioned Barcelona.

Described as ‘very skilful, powerful and boasting an impressive physique’, the 15-year-old is expected to make the jump to Europe in the not-so-distant future.

It now remains to be seen if the brass at the Camp Nou can beat out the mounting competition for his signature.
