There is simply no question that FC Barcelona remains committed to its youngsters. From their initial development to giving them opportunities, the club continues to maintain a high level of confidence in its youth. However, certain players like Marc Bernal definitely stand out.
Already considered a part of the first team under Hansi Flick’s orders, Bernal continues his recovery with the hopes of shining under the German coach. Moreover, following a recent meeting in which Deco reaffirmed the club’s faith in the youngster, some big developments can be expected.

According to SPORT, Barça has finalised the player’s renewal and will shortly announce it as well. Moreover, the club is now expected to give Bernal a new first-team jersey number as well, something that would solidify his place as a member of Flick’s squad.
However, the club will have to wait and see when the youngster’s registration as a first-team player can be made possible. Either way, irrespective of the time it takes, the club’s intention is to have Bernal be a regular member of the first team and thrive in those dynamics.

As for his recovery, the club continues to be cautious with him and is taking things one step at a time. Even though the player reportedly feels ready to make his return, Barça will likely not fully clear him until September, and it is expected that he will make his return against Valencia in the team’s first home game of the La Liga campaign.
