Etta Eyong has been grabbing attention from top clubs across Europe thanks to his eye-catching performances for UD Levante this season.

Among the many clubs pursuing the young centre-forward are reigning La Liga champions FC Barcelona, who had their sights on the Cameroonian last summer as well.

Arsenal, Manchester United also want Etta Eyong

However, competition for Eyong’s services seems to be getting intense by the day as many other teams also want the Levante star.

Indeed, according to reports in England, as relayed by AS, Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United are also monitoring Eyong and would be ready to make a move if he continues to progress in this manner.

So far this season, Eyong has scored six and assisted three goals from 12 matches in La Liga for Levante, standing out as a top performer.

In fact, only Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez, and Barcelona’s own Lewandowski have scored more goals in La Liga than Eyong this season.

So, it is natural for the 22-year-old starlet to attract interest from heavyweights from within Spain and outside.

However, Barcelona may have an advantage in the race for Eyong as the youngster seems to be favouring a move to the Catalan club.

Indeed, the former Villarreal prospect has been dropping hints about wanting to join the Blaugrana, most recently naming club legends Lionel Messi and Samuel Eto’o as his idols.

So, it remains to be seen how things evolve, but interest in Eyong continues to grow, with Arsenal and Manchester United now joining Barcelona in the race.
