A leading member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has been made aware of altogether unsavoury behaviour on the part of the club behind his back.

That’s according to Blaugrana insider Gerard Romero, who points towards Marc-André ter Stegen as the player in question.

Goalkeeper Ter Stegen’s name has of course taken its place centre stage in the headlines across Catalunya’s capital and beyond over recent weeks.

This comes amid the widespread understanding that Barcelona are taking into serious consideration the German’s sale this summer.

Amid an ongoing pursuit of Espanyol no.1 Joan García, Ter Stegen has been widely tipped as the member of Hansi Flick’s squad set to make way for the Spaniard.

And if the latest word doing the rounds in Spain over the last 24 hours is anything to go by, then those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou appear ready to do whatever it takes to push their current no.1 out…

As per the aforementioned Gerard Romero, speaking on his official Twitch channel on Sunday night, Barcelona have been leaking information to the media, regarding Ter Stegen’s future.

This is something which has been picked up on by the player himself, no doubt bemused with the club he has called home for over ten years now.
