Barcelona star Alejandro Balde has made his way back onto the radar of the Spanish national team selection panel.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Saturday provided an insight into the latest developments in Luis de la Fuente’s camp.
Balde, for his part, is of course in the midst of an altogether productive opening to the new campaign.
Taking his place as the first-choice left-back in Hansi Flick’s squad, the 21-year-old has looked close to his brilliant best, having left his injury woes of last season firmly behind.
All told, Balde has featured from the off in 11 of Barcelona’s 14 fixtures across all competitions.
And, as per Sport, his form has not gone at all unnoticed on the part of the Spanish coaching staff:
‘Balde’s good start to the season means that he is back in the plans of the Spanish coach, Luis de la Fuente,’ it is confirmed.
It is also noted, though, that Balde faces an uphill battle in carving out a starting berth for himself with La Roja, with both Marc Cucurella and Álex Grimaldo to compete with.
