A current member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona could soon follow a path previously taken by ex-Blaugrana prodigy Ansu Fati.
This comes amid the understanding that Roony Bardghji is in the sights of Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion.
Wide-man Bardghji has of course seen his status in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad take a hit this summer. Following the respective arrivals of Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi, the Swede has lost his place as Lamine Yamal’s first-choice backup.
At a crucial point in his development as a player, Bardghji has therefore accepted the fact that he will need to head out on loan to secure regular first-team minutes next season.
And with as much in mind, a new potential landing spot is understood to have emerged for the 20-year-old this week.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘There are two clubs that are really pushing for the Swede, and one of them is Brighton. The Seagulls have taken the lead and would be willing to formalize a proposal.’
Further updates on the situation are expected over the coming week.
