La Liga giants Barcelona could be forced to make do without a star member of the club’s frontline for their next four outings across all competitions.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo’s Ferran Martínez, who highlights Lamine Yamal as the player in question.
Wide-man Lamine was of course forced to sit out this past Sunday, as Barcelona marked their return to action in a La Liga meeting with Valencia.
This came owing to a groin issue suffered whilst on international duty with Spain.
The hope was that Lamine would not miss more than two to three of Barca’s fixtures, amid a busy stretch of the new season.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media on Tuesday is anything to go by, then the 18-year-old’s absence could prove to be more significant.
As per the aforementioned Ferran Martínez, the aim is for Lamine to be back 100% fit to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League at the beginning of October.
Such an absence would mean the winger missing meetings with all of Newcastle United, Getafe, Real Oviedo and Real Sociedad.
