Barcelona star limps off with injury vs Atlético Madrid | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona have on Saturday been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.

This comes owing to developments in the Blaugrana’s showdown with Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid.

The headline fixture of the La Liga weekend is currently being contested at the Metropolitano, as Hansi Flick’s Barca lock horns with Atlético for the first of a pair of fixtures between the sides in the space of just four days.

As things stand in Spain’s capital, the scoreline is deadlocked at a goal apiece.

En route to as much, though, visitors Barcelona have been dealt an alarming setback on the injury front.

During the opening 45 minutes of proceedings, Ronald Araújo pulled up with what appeared to be a muscular problem, before limping off.

According to Mundo Deportivo:

‘He requested a substitution due to pain in his hamstring.’

It now remains to be seen if Araújo is facing up to any sort of extended incoming spell on the treatment table in Barcelona.
