Barcelona star offered new contract with current wages halved | OneFootball

An insight into the details of the contract proposal sent the way of Barcelona star Andreas Christensen by the club has come to the fore online.

This comes amid confirmation that the Dane has been offered a significantly reduced wage package.

Christensen is for his part sidelined long-term at present, owing to a partial ACL tear suffered in December of last year.

The Barcelona board responded to the news of the setback by showing their loyalty to the former Chelsea man, courtesy of a contract renewal offer.

As much comes ahead of the expiration of Christensen’s current terms this summer.

And as alluded to above, this week, some of the details of the proposal tendered by Deco and co. to the club’s defensive star have surfaced online.

The info comes courtesy of Marca, who have revealed that:

‘Barcelona have offered him a two-year contract with several performance-related bonuses. The club will pay him half of his current salary each year. However, this amount can increase depending on the number of games played.’
