Barcelona star ruled out of Copa del Rey final | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona will be forced to make do without the contributions of a key member of the club’s first-team squad in their upcoming showdown with Real Madrid.

That’s according to El Chiringuito TV, who point towards Alejandro Balde as the player in question.

Defender Balde has of course played no part in any of Barcelona’s last three fixtures across all competitions.

This comes owing to a hamstring injury suffered en route to the Blaugrana’s hard-fought 1-0 victory at Leganés earlier this month.

Balde had over recent days been spotted back out on the grass on the training pitch in Catalunya’s capital, giving rise to murmurs that a swift recovery could see the 21-year-old cleared to play his part in the Copa del Rey final this weekend.

As alluded to above, though, this will not prove to be the case.

As per a report from El Chiringuito TV:

‘Balde will not play the cup final,’ having failed to triumph in his race against time to face Real Madrid.
