An leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Monday secured for himself a prestigious individual prize.
The player in question? Lamine Yamal.
Wide-man Lamine has for his part of course spent the season to date continuing to build on his reputation as world football’s standout up-and-coming talent.
Taking his production in the final third to a new level altogether, the Spaniard, still just 17, has directly contributed to a hefty 36 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions.
And as alluded to above, on Monday, such ongoing excellence has culminated in Lamine being handed yet another award.
The prize in question? The Laureus World Breakthrough of the Year.
Other winners at the Laureus awards this evening include the likes of Rafael Nadal (Laureus Sporting Icon Award), Simone Biles (Laureus World Sportswoman of the Year) and Kelly Slater (Laureus Lifetime Achievement Award).
