Barcelona star sits out training ahead of World Cup final | OneFootball

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal was a notable absentee from group training with the Spanish national team on Thursday.

This of course comes just days out from La Roja’s World Cup final showdown with reigning champions Argentina.

Spain are fresh off booking their spot in international football’s grandest fixture on Tuesday, courtesy of a dominant victory over Didier Deschamps’ France.

The aforementioned Lamine played a starring role en route to the triumph, causing the French backline all sorts of problems from his berth on the right flank.

So too did partner in crime down the right, Pedro Porro, who netted Spain’s 2nd of the evening in Dallas.

Both the winger and full-back, however, were excused from group activities with Luis de la Fuente’s squad earlier today. The pair are understood to be nursing minor fitness problems, put through individualised training sessions as a result.

Despite their respective concerns, Lamine and Porro are both expected to be cleared to feature from the off against Argentina on Sunday.
