Barcelona star to return for Chelsea meeting | OneFootball

Barcelona star Pedri is expected to be reintroduced to competitive action in the club’s upcoming showdown with English heavyweights Chelsea.

That’s according to journalist Xavi Campos, who confirmed as much on Sunday evening.

The midfielder will not be risked next time out against Athletic Club, with a view to being able to play at least some part at Stamford Bridge on November 25th.

Pedri is of course condemned to a spell on the sidelines at present.

As much comes after the 22-year-old suffered a hamstring injury during last month’s El Clásico defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.

He has since been forced to sit out each of Barcelona’s last three fixtures across all competitions, as well as the international break with Spain.

Initially tipped to miss as many as six weeks, though, a return to the pitch late in November would actually mark a significantly fast-tracked recovery for Pedri.
