A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has made his way onto the transfer radar of Premier League outfit Manchester United.

Youngster Casadó is for his part widely expected to bring a close to his time on Barcelona’s books over the months ahead.

After falling out of favour under the watch of Hansi Flick in Catalunya’s capital this past season, the 22-year-old has been tipped as a much-needed source of funds at the Camp Nou.

A whole host of clubs from across Europe and beyond, in turn, have been credited with an interest in a player still considered by many to be a potential star in the making.

And as alluded to above, this week, a fresh suitor have thrown their hat in the ring for Casadó.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, citing The Sun, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the middle of the park, Manchester United have set their sights on the Spanish international.

Michael Carrick is understood to be an admirer of Casadó’s talents, with the youngster considered a solid fit for the demands of the Premier League.

Contacts have in turn already taken place between the parties, with a view to an Old Trafford switch this summer.
