Ahead of their trip to Italy, FC Barcelona were greeted by great news as star striker Robert Lewandowski received his medical clearance and was named in the squad list by manager Hansi Flick.
The 36-year-old centre-forward had been out of action for two weeks after suffering a thigh injury during the win against Celta Vigo.
Initial reports suggested a three-week recovery timeline for the veteran superstar, and as such, concerns had grown about his potential availability for the semi-final second leg vs Inter Milan.
But Lewandowski worked hard on his recovery and resumed training this past weekend before receiving the green light from the medical department after only two sessions with the team.
Given that he has only recovered and returned, it is expected that Lewandowski will be on the bench tonight against Inter Milan.

However, according to journalist Alex Pintanel, the veteran striker has told manager Hansi Flick he feels ready to start against the Nerazzurri in under six hours.
“He wants to be a starter,” sources say from his home country.
Lewandowski’s numbers this season have been nothing short of stellar. The Barcelona veteran has plundered 40 goals across all competitions (25 in La Liga, 11 in the Champions League, 3 in the Copa del Rey, and 1 in the Supercopa), along with three assists in 48 matches.
Given how important tonight’s game is and the fact that Barcelona need to be very clinical against a team like Inter Milan, it does not come as a surprise that Lewandowski is pushing to start at the Guiseppe Meazza.
However, despite Lewandowski’s desire to start, Barça’s coaching staff prefers to use him in the second half if necessary.
Medical staff input will also influence the final call but all signs indicate that Ferran Torres will get the nod.
