It is only a matter of time before Barcelona announce the contract extension of star player Lamine Yamal.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the teenage sensation has already penned a new long-term deal in the Barcelona office today, which could be announced sooner rather than later.
It has been widely reported in recent weeks that Yamal would become one of Barcelona’s highest earners thanks to the new contract.
Now, a recent report from El Pais has offered more details on Yamal’s new contract, which could see him earn an absolute fortune.
As per the report, Yamal’s new salary at Barcelona could be in the range of €15 million per season, which would make him the third-highest earner at the club.
Only two players would earn more than Yamal in the current team: Robert Lewandowski and Frenkie de Jong.

Lewandowski is already in the final phase of his career, meaning Yamal could soon become Barcelona’s second-highest earner.
This figure marks a significant jump from his current deal, which would have paid him €5 million per season starting from July 13, when he officially turns 18.
The contract also includes several performance-based bonuses. If all variables are triggered, many of which are considered easily attainable, Yamal’s total earnings could reach nearly €20 million per year.
This extension not only secures the club’s brightest talent for the long term but also sends a strong message: Barcelona are not holding back when it comes to retaining their academy prospects.
With Yamal’s deal wrapped up, Barcelona can now focus on the future of some of the fringe players in the team, including the likes of Pau Victor, Ansu Fati and others.
