Barcelona are intensifying their pursuit of one of Europe’s most exciting young prospects, with fresh reports confirming their growing interest in Jesse Bisiwu.

According to SPORT, Barcelona’s recruitment team will be closely monitoring the 18-year-old winger this weekend, as he prepares to feature in the UEFA Youth League semi-final. 

The Catalan giants are expected to have scouts in attendance, showing just how serious they are about evaluating him ahead of a potential summer move.

Bisiwu, who represents Club Brugge, has quickly emerged as a standout talent. 

The Belgian winger, who has Ghanaian roots, is regarded as a high-upside attacking option with the kind of pace and directness that fits perfectly into Barcelona’s evolving sporting project.

The outlet mentions that Bisiwu has turned down multiple renewal offers from Club Brugge, despite his current deal running until 2027.

Barcelona are already taking proactive steps, as sporting director Deco has travelled to Belgium in recent weeks to meet the player’s representatives, signalling strong intent from the club.

However, the situation at Club Brugge is pretty complex. 

Why is that?

The Belgian side have reportedly reduced Bisiwu’s involvement in recent matches after his refusal to sign a new deal, a strategy often used by clubs to maintain control in contract disputes.
