Robert Lewandowski proved his mettle yet again by scoring a brace in the recent 4-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
It was yet another stellar performance from the Polish international, who shows no signs of stopping despite his age.
Lewandowski’s brace against Dortmund extended his scoring tally in the Champions League to 11 goals and thanks to his, the Pole has once again etched himself in the record books.
With his current UCL scoring tally extending beyond 10 goals this season, Lewandowski became the first player ever to score 10 or more goals in a season with three different clubs.
Lewandowski had previously scored 10 or more goals in a season previously with Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
During the 2012/13 campaign, Lewandowski scored 10 goals in 13 UCL matches, four of which came against Real Madrid in the semifinals. His goals helped Dortmund reach the final of the Champions League.

Surprisingly, it took Lewandowski seven years to achieve the 10-goal mark again, in 2020. This time, he achieved the feat with Bayern Munich, under the leadership of none other than Hansi Flick.
Lewandowski’s 10 goals in 15 matches helped Bayern Munich secure the treble in 2020, with the forward being very unfortunate to miss out on the Ballon d’Or.
At Barcelona, this time, the first season where Lewandowski has scored 10 goals. He scored only five goals in his first season and only three in the next.
This time around, Lewandowski has been scoring goals for fun after being reunited with Flick. And with 11 goals already until the first leg of the quarter-finals, the Pole potentially has four matches to break his personal best record of 13 goals, achieved in 2021.
As far as the overall record is concerned, Cristiano Ronaldo holds the crown after scoring 17 goals during the 2013/14 campaign.
