The future of Robert Lewandowski at Barcelona is slowly becoming one of the most intriguing topics ahead of the summer transfer window.

With his current deal approaching its final months, speculation about what the veteran striker might do next has started to grow across European football.

Despite the noise surrounding his situation, Lewandowski himself appears completely relaxed about what lies ahead.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports (h/t SPORT), the experienced forward explained that he feels no urgency to rush into a decision about the next chapter of his career.

Not under any pressure

According to the Polish striker, age has changed the way he views these moments.

Earlier in his career, contract situations often brought uncertainty and constant questions about the future. Now, he prefers to approach things calmly and allow himself the time to decide.

“The good thing is that I’m not under any pressure. When you’re 30 or younger, it’s a different feeling and you ask yourself every day, ‘Where am I going to play?

“But right now, I don’t need to know. I’m patient and I know how to wait for the right moment,” he noted.

Rather than letting rumours dictate the conversation, Lewandowski has already set his own timeline for making a final decision.

The striker made it clear that he intends to reflect carefully before choosing the next step in his professional career.

“I’ll give myself about three months to decide what I want to do. Me, and only me,” he said.

Loving life in Barcelona

While many clubs around Europe continue to monitor the situation of the experienced forward, Lewandowski hinted that his strongest connection still lies with Barcelona

The striker emphasised that life in the Catalan city suits both him and his family perfectly.

However, the striker also made it clear that his immediate focus is not on transfer discussions but on the decisive stage of the current campaign.

Barcelona are entering a crucial stretch of the season where both domestic and European ambitions remain alive.

“The season is starting again. We have to be ready for the most important moment in this part of the season.”

With key fixtures approaching in La Liga and the Champions League knockout rounds, Lewandowski’s priority remains helping the team perform at the highest level.

Only after the most important matches of the season will the veteran striker take the time to evaluate what comes next.
