The FC Barcelona youth academy has once again proven to be one of the most effective talent development hubs in the world, consistently supplying the first team with high-quality players even during challenging times.
The Catalan club continues to focus on strengthening La Masia by identifying and nurturing promising young talents from across the globe.
According to Mundo Deportivo, one of the latest players on Barcelona’s radar is English winger Ajay Tavares, who also has the ability to play as a center-forward for Norwich City’s youth team.
Tavares will turn 16 on December 28 and holds a European passport, which would allow him to join Barcelona before turning 18.

Tavares is known for his physical strength and technical ability, allowing him to compete effectively against players several years older.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, as he has already progressed through England’s U15 and U16 squads and now represents the U17 team.
Coaches at St. George’s Park praise his maturity and versatility, highlighting his potential to make an impact at the highest levels of youth football.
Several clubs in England and across Europe are reportedly monitoring Tavares, yet Barcelona appears to be well-positioned in the race to secure his signature.
The club has moved swiftly and strategically to preempt competition, demonstrating its continued commitment to identifying talents who can be fully developed within La Masia’s renowned system.
