Barcelona forward Pau Victor will report as normal this Sunday to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper for his medical check-up ahead of the start of pre-season training on Monday, 14 July.
Although he is among the players who could leave this summer in search of more playing time, his future remains unresolved. For now, Deco wants him to stay as part of Hansi Flick’s squad.
Last season, despite being involved in a good number of matches, Victor did not receive many minutes – a situation he hopes to address with a mutually agreed departure.
As such, the player is awaiting a conversation with Flick to understand the German coach’s plans for him.
Now, according to SPORT, Barcelona’s plan is to ship Victor off on a permanent transfer. There will be no consideration for a loan deal.
The forward has received several offers from top La Liga clubs, but all are seeking a loan deal. Barcelona, however, are not open to that.
The Catalans greatly value the 23-year-old’s quality and potential, and Flick is pleased with his professionalism, attitude, and performance despite limited playing time.
For this reason, all loan offers have been rejected, and the only option being considered is a sale for a fee above €10 million.

Victor, for his part, would welcome a loan move, as it would allow him to remain connected to the club he has always dreamed of succeeding at. His contract runs until 30 June 2029.
Barcelona’s financial limitations play a significant role in this stance. The situation could shift if the club manages to return to the 1:1 rule, which would allow them to strengthen the squad more freely.
For example, the loan arrival of Marcus Rashford could soften Barcelona’s rigid position on Victor. But for now, it remains a clear-cut decision: either a permanent transfer or nothing.
Flick is not keen on losing more attacking players, a group that also includes Pablo Torre, unless there are incoming reinforcements.
As it stands, Victor will not only begin pre-season as normal but is also expected to travel with the squad on the upcoming tour of Japan and South Korea.
Only if Barcelona resolve their financial issues and regain flexibility in the transfer market would they consider allowing the forward to leave on loan. At present, those conditions do not exist.
