The board at La Liga giants Barcelona are hopeful of renewing the contract terms of three leading members of the club’s first-team squad over the weeks ahead.

That’s according to Esport3, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

The subject of contract renewals has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines surrounding Barcelona on Monday.

This comes after confirmation was forthcoming that headmaster Hansi Flick has reached a full agreement with Deco and co. over the terms of a new deal.

The German tactician is expected to officially extend his Blaugrana terms any day now.

And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, the Barcelona brass are far from done there…

‘The club’s sports management is working on other renewals, those of Frenkie de Jong, Wojciech Szczesny and Eric Garcia.’
