An out-of-favour member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is attracting transfer interest by way of France’s Ligue 1.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who confirm that AS Monaco are keeping a close eye on the 22-year-old with a view to next season.

Wide-man Ansu has for his part of course endured another difficult campaign in Catalunya’s capital to date.

Struggling for game-time amid fierce competition for places up top in Barcelona’s squad, the 22-year-old has been afforded a total of just three starts across all competitions.

Speculation surrounding a potential summer departure for Ansu, in turn, has long been in circulation in the Spanish media.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word to have surfaced in the media this weekend is anything to go by, then one such club keen on the Spaniard come in the form of Monaco.

As per MD:

‘Monaco have already taken some steps to strengthen its squad with the 22-year-old Spanish-Guinean forward.’

Having qualified for the Champions League once more next season, the board at the Stade Louis II are on the lookout for reinforcements in the attacking third.

And Ansu, likely to be available for a cut-price fee, is seen as a viable option.
