Barracas switch home ground, will host at the Florencio Sola

The club announced it will play its home matches at Florencio Sola because its stadium does not meet Conmebol’s requirements.

Barracas confirmed it will play its home matches at Banfield’s stadium during its Copa Sudamericana campaign. The club announced it on social media and explained that it will use Florencio Sola for its Group G matches. The venue change is due to the fact that the Claudio “Chiqui” Tapia stadium does not meet Conmebol’s requirements for international competitions.

Barracas will share a group with Olimpia, Vasco da Gama, and Audax Italiano in what will be its first international appearance. In addition, the club is also making progress on other requirements demanded by Conmebol, such as the development of women’s football.
