Barreal to miss Santos v Atlético-MG, Neymar and Rony return | OneFootball

Álvaro Barreal will miss Santos’s Campeonato Brasileiro meeting with Atlético-MG in the 11th round at Vila Belmiro on Saturday, kick-off 20:00 Brasília.

Head coach Cuca will have Neymar and Rony available again after suspension, according to Globo.com.

Barreal is banned after collecting his third yellow card in Sunday’s defeat to Flamengo at the Maracanã. He was booked 22 minutes into the second half after conceding a penalty on De Arrascaeta.

Santos now switch focus to the Copa Sul-Americana, opening against Deportivo Cuenca on Wednesday at 19:00 Brasília at the Estadio Alejandro Serrano Aguilar in Cuenca.

Cuca does not yet know if right-back Igor Vinícius will be available. He has a slight oedema in his right quadriceps that kept him out against Flamengo.

For the trip, Mayke is sidelined, being managed due to corticosteroid use, and Gabriel Menino has a right hamstring injury. Neymar may also remain out, preserved for the forthcoming home fixtures at Vila Belmiro.

In the league, seven Santos players are one booking from a ban: Gabriel Brazão, Igor Vinícius, Escobar, João Schmidt, Gabriel Menino, Gustavo Henrique and Gabriel Bontempo.
