Bayer Leverkusen enter talks with PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko | OneFootball

Sky Germany reports that Bayer Leverkusen have entered into talks with PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko.

Die Werkself have been about the possibility of the move as well as the potential cost as they look to bring in a winger this summer.

Bakayoko has been reported to cost around €30m, but Leverkusen will face competition from clubs from Ligue 1 as well as Borussia Dortmund, who have also shown a strong interest in the Belgian. Last season, the 22-year-old was not as impressive as the year before, as he registered 15 goal contributions in 46 games compared to 28 in 48 in 2023/24.

It was reported earlier this week that Leverkusen not only want to bring in a new winger, but they also want to sign a player who can play centrally and be a ‘creative difference maker’.

Leverkusen’s target for that position is Maghnes Akliouche. The Bundesliga side has also held talks with the 23-year-old.  The Monaco winger is said to be their dream target, but will be expensive, and Kölner Stadt Anzeiger reports that Leverkusen have decided against pursuing Akliouche as the asking price from the principality is €70m.
