Bayern Munich have confirmed that Germany international Jamal Musiala has torn his hamstring ahead of the upcoming Champions League quarter-final tie against Inter, and with an already lengthy injury list in play, there are now concerns over England national team captain Harry Kane.

Bayern’s next match will be at home against Inter in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final, with the return fixture scheduled for the following week, on April 16.

Vincent Kompany has had a torrid time with injuries to key first-team players in the build-up to the Champions League quarters, though, as Manuel Neuer, Dayot Upamecano, Hiroki Ito, Alphonso Davies and Kingsley Coman are all expected to be unavailable.

To make matters worse, Musiala had to be helped off the pitch by two members of medical staff after scoring a first-half equaliser in Bayern’s 3-1 win over Augsburg in the Bundesliga on Friday night.

The club have since confirmed that Musiala has suffered a torn hamstring, and according to reports from Sky Sport DE, he is expected to miss around eight weeks of action.

There was yet another concern for the Bavarians after full-time of their win over Augsburg on Friday night, as England captain Harry Kane came out into the mixed zone for his post-match media duties with an ice pack strapped around his ankle.

The former Tottenham centre-forward says that he is not overly concerned, but hinted at an ankle sprain, which makes him a doubt ahead of the Inter match-up on Tuesday.

“I sprained my ankle in the phase just before the red card,” Kane told Bild, reported via iMiaSanMia.

“I think it’s okay. The ankle is a bit swollen, but I’m used to that. I’ve had a few ankle injuries before, and this is just a minor one. I’m not worried.”
