Despite numerous speculations, FC Bayern is not planning any winter activity on the transfer market. According to the BILD podcast„Bayern-Insider“-Podcast, there are no plans for reinforcements or departures.

The rumor mill at Säbener Straße is once again boiling over, with reports recently doing the rounds that the Munich club could make further personnel adjustments in the winter.

It has now been announced that Bayern are not planning any deals in January. Neither new signings nor short-term sales are on the table, as confirmed by the BILD podcast„Bayern-Insider“ podcast. Munich are thus deliberately focusing on calm, stability and a clearly thought-out strategic line. „Bayern are not planning any transfers in winter,“ BILD chief reporter Tobi Altschäffl makes clear.

Internally, there is great confidence at the German record champions. The squad may be smaller than in previous years, but the early return of many injured players such as Alphonso Davies, Hiroki Ito and Jamal Musiala is crucial. Those responsible are convinced that Vincent Kompany’s full squad is competitive enough to attack all goals.

Coach Kompany expressly supports this course. He does not want to disrupt the positive development within the team with short-term quick fixes. Young players in particular have made great strides in recent months – additional transfers could block this momentum.

Instead, internal competition should increase as soon as all players are available again. According to the club management, this is precisely what will strengthen the structure and balance of the squad in the long term.

BILD head of soccer Christian Falk explains in the podcast: „When everyone is fit, the squad is good across the board. That’s why the starting position is clear: there will be no new additions.“

Strategic decisions will be postponed until the summer

There is no question that FC Bayern has identified potential weaknesses in the squad, with central defence and central midfield in particular seen as areas that could need strengthening in the long term.

However, instead of reacting frantically in the winter phase, Munich are postponing all strategic planning until the summer transfer period, when Max Eberl and Christoph Freund want to take their time, examine market opportunities and make targeted investments. Stability and continuity are currently the top priorities – also with a view to the club’s long-term direction.
