Bayern Munich produced a sensational performance to extend their unbeaten run to 15 games by beating Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 at the Allianz Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Serge Gnabry, in his 250th Bundesliga appearance, scored the opening goal for the home side.
Nicolas Jackson scored his first Bundesliga goal of the season before Loic Bade turned into his own net as Bayern took a 3-0 lead at the break. With this defeat, Bayer Leverkusen’s 37-game unbeaten streak away from home came to an end.

Vincent Kompany made seven changes to the side, but that did not hamper Bayern’s natural flair, as they dominated from the beginning.
Lennar Karl curled his effort towards the goal, but Mark Flakken denied him. The youngster was getting more involved in the game as he shot from the edge of the box, which went narrowly wide, after a brilliant interchange of play.
Two minutes later, Karl was involved again. This time, he swung a fantastic cross into the box, and Leon Goretzka rose to meet it, but could not keep his effort on target.
In the 24th minute, Bayern broke the deadlock through Serge Gnabry, who scored his fourth goal in the Bundesliga. Tom Bischof provided a sensational pass and put Gnabry through on goal; the German winger used his pace to slot past Flakken.
Karl delivered another excellent cross into the box, but Nicolas Jackson could not get to the toe of the ball. Moments later, Jackson scored his first Bundesliga goal of the season with a header from a superb cross from Konrad Laimer.
The on-loan Chelsea striker thought he scored his second of the afternoon, but it was rightly ruled out as offside. Karl nearly got a goal to his name, as he shot from the edge of the box with his left foot, but it went just wide.
Just before halftime, Bayern got their third goal. Raphael Guerreiro placed a low cross from the left, but Loic Bade, in an attempt to clear the danger, turned it into his own net.
In the second half, Jackson had a goal on his mercy to get his second of the night for Bayern, but he headed it over the bar.
Leverkusen enjoyed a good deal of possession in midfield and tried to carve back into the game, but Bayern were in no mood to allow them to create open chances.
Karl slipped in a brilliant pass for Guerreiro, but his effort just went wide of the target.
At 3-0, Kompany brought on Diaz, Kane, and Olise from the bench, which demonstrates the depth and strength of the squad.
Olise cuts inside from the right to tee off Sacha Boey, who could not keep his shot on target.
The Bavarian giants maintained possession and ensured they secured all three points.
Here at CF Bayern Insider, we have rated the players out of 10.
Manuel Neuer (7) – With no pressure from Leverkusen, Neuer was left to catch and kick only.
Konrad Laimer (8) – No player has created more chances for Bayern than Laimer this season, and he produced an assist today for Jackson. That cross defines Laimer.
Kim Min-jae (7) – A solid performance at the back – made timely interceptions, won his duels, and blocked one effort.
Jonathan Tah (7) – The former Leverkusen defender was a towering presence at the back and played his part in keeping a clean sheet.
Tom Bischof (7) – The youngster won three tackles and provided a magnificent pass for Gnabry in the build-up to the opening goal.
Joshua Kimmich (7) – With 95% passing accuracy and 90% in the opposition half, Kimmich did what Kimmich does – an epitome of consistency.
Leon Goretzka (7) – A much better performance from him after his recent slump in form. Missed his header from close range in the first half.
Lennart Karl (9) – Without a shadow of doubt, he was the player of the match. Created so many chances in the first half, and was really unlucky that he could not end up with either an assist or a goal.
Raphael Guerreiro (7) – Hugely involved for the third goal, and should have scored one after a brilliant link-up play with Karl.
Serge Gnabry (8) – Broke the deadlock for Bayern after getting past his marker with a menacing pace, and then finished it perfectly. Does he deserve a new contract? You bet.
Nicolas Jackson (9) – The burden is over. The pressure is off. Jackson scored one, should have scored another, and one was ruled offside. This will boost his confidence.
Harry Kane – 6
Michael Olise – 6
Luis Diaz – 6
