Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani, a player who has also caught the attention of Barcelona ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window.

The information comes from journalist Florian Plettenberg, who reveals that Bayern are seriously impressed by the 23-year-old’s rapid rise in the Bundesliga and have already gathered details about his release clause.

Asllani’s contract situation has made him one of the most talked-about forwards in the Bundesliga

His current deal allows potential suitors a reasonable opportunity to secure his services, and several top European clubs, including Barcelona, are said to be following his progress closely.

The forward has been a standout performer for Hoffenheim this season, scoring five goals in the Bundesliga and another in the DFB-Pokal, which is an impressive tally considering the team’s limited resources.

Barcelona are interested too

Barcelona’s interest in Asllani is not new. The Catalan club have been conducting detailed scouting on him for months, identifying him as a potential long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski

However, Bayern’s recent entry into the race could complicate matters for the Blaugrana.

In Germany, there is a growing belief that Hansi Flick is actively preparing for life after Lewandowski, and Asllani fits the profile perfectly.

Providing further insight into his ambitions, Asllani recently admitted his admiration for the Catalan giants.

“FC Barcelona has always been my dream club,” he confessed during an interview recently.

At the moment, there are no formal negotiations underway, but Bayern’s sudden involvement could push other clubs into action.

Next year promises to be a long and competitive one, and Asllani’s name is expected to dominate discussions among Europe’s elite.

For Barcelona, securing a Lewandowski replacement at an affordable price remains a top priority and Asllani could very well be the answer if they move quickly enough.
