Bayern Munich could look to sell Sacha Boey in the January transfer window. 

The Bavarian giants are not planning to be active in the winter transfer market, as the club bosses have decided that the squad is good enough, and no additions are required.

Bayern will only get stronger with the return of their injured players. However, Boey could be allowed to move on, either in January or next summer.

Bayern have plenty of options

Boey joined Bayern from Galatasaray in January 2024 for a fee of around €30m.

The 25-year-old right-back made only 20 appearances last season, with injuries hampering his involvement.

In the 2025-26 season, he made nine appearances in the Bundesliga, starting in five of them.

The French defender has yet to make a significant impression and has recently lost his position in the starting lineup, following the return of Josip Stanisic.

Bayern have plenty of depth in their right-back areas. Konrad Laimer excels in this position, although he is also capable of playing on the left.

Likewise, Stanisic remains another option on the right, but Vincent Kompany mainly uses him as a left-back.

What could prompt Kompany to offload Boey is the emergence of Tom Bischof.

The exciting young midfielder has also proved his quality playing as a left-back this season, which means Kompany has more options and depth in the full-back areas.

Who could be interested in siging Sacha Boey?

Serie A giants Juventus were interested in signing him last summer, but Bayern did not want to sell at that time.

It is unclear whether the Old Lady would return for Boey, but they could be an option.

It has been reported that Turkish club Galatasaray are keen to take him back to his old club, but our information does not confirm that.

As it stands, if a club come up with a suitable offer for Boey, Bayern would be ready to negotiate.
