Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae has left the door open for a potential Serie A return amid genuine interest from Inter Milan.

Speaking to FCInterNews, the South Korean center-back dropped a massive hint about his future.

Kim Min-jae left Napoli to join the record-time Bundesliga champions in the summer of 2023 for a reported fee of €50 million.

Indeed, the Bavarians triggered a release clause in his contract at the Diego Maradona Stadium three years ago.

Furthermore, Kim signed a five-year deal in Munich, and he has just over two years left to run on his contract.

However, he could return to Serie A this summer, with Inter Milan identifying him as a potential candidate to strengthen their defense.

Still, it’s worth noting that the 29-year-old has played a prominent role in Vincent Kompany’s system this season.

For context, he has made 30 appearances across all competitions, establishing himself as a permanent fixture in the starting lineup.

Asked to comment on speculation linking him with several Serie A clubs, Kim replied: “I can say that my experience at Napoli was really positive for me. I remember it with particular fondness.

“The future? I’m focused on what I just said. Nothing more to add.”

In addition to Inter, AC Milan and Juventus are also keen on the former Partenopei star.

However, Kim won’t come cheap. Furthermore, the Nerazzurri may not even try to sign him unless Alessandro Bastoni leaves the club.

Though Inter could try to sign Kim on loan with an option to buy, Bayern are unlikely to accept that proposal.

Indeed, Cristian Chivu’s men have earmarked Sassuolo starlet Tarik Muharemovic as their dream defensive signing.

Therefore, they are ready to allocate a large portion of their summer budget to secure the 23-year-old’s signature.
