Bayern Munich are reportedly keeping a close eye on Inter Milan defender Yann Aurel Bisseck as they begin shaping their future plans at the back.

According to reports from German outlet Sport1, via FCInterNews, the Bavarian giants have added Bisseck to their shortlist of potential defensive reinforcements.

At this stage, however, there have been no direct contacts with either the player or Inter, with Bayern still in the monitoring phase as they evaluate multiple profiles.

The Bundesliga champions are exploring centre-back options despite receiving a positive signal from Dayot Upamecano over a contract renewal.

With that situation moving in the right direction, Bayern are still keen to strengthen and refresh their defensive department, particularly with an eye on the long term.

Bisseck’s name has emerged alongside another highly rated youngster, Luka Vuskovic. The 18-year-old is currently at Hamburg on loan from Tottenham Hotspur and is considered one of the most promising defensive talents in Europe.

For Bayern, this is very much a phase of information gathering rather than active negotiation. For Inter, meanwhile, interest from one of Europe’s biggest clubs underlines Bisseck’s growing reputation after establishing himself as a reliable option in Simone Inzaghi’s defensive rotations.
