Bayern Munich open talks to sign Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea | OneFootball

Bayern Munich have opened talks with Chelsea to sign Christopher Nkunku (27), according to a report from Florian Plettenberg. Direct contact has now been initiated between the two clubs to explore a potential deal for the French international attacker.

Nkunku has been deemed surplus to requirements by Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge this summer. The Premier League club are eager to move the PSG academy graduate on before the end of the transfer window. However, the Blues are not willing to entertain a potential loan move for the 27-year-old and will only accept a permanent transfer away from the club this summer.

No agreements have yet been reached with Chelsea or the Frenchman, but it is believed that the former RB Leipzig attacking midfielder would be keen to return to Germany and join the Bundesliga champions. The versatile attacker’s contract with the West London club is set to expire in 2029.
