This week, it has been reported that Real Madrid are ready to make a summer move for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise. The 24-year-old is the dream target for Florentino Perez, and there is a belief within the club that a deal can be done during the upcoming transfer window.
Real Madrid are ready to pay much more than the €150m that Perez promised to spend on a new signing during his election campaign. Knowing that Bayern do not want to sell, there are plans to tempt them with an offer as high as €220m, which would be only €2m less than the most expensive transfer in history – that being Neymar Junior’s move to Paris Saint-Germain nine years ago.
While this would be incredibly tempting for Bayern to take, they are still determine to keep Olise. And they hope to ensure his stay by tying him down to a new contract in the coming weeks, as per reports in Germany (via MD).
Olise’s current deal ends in 2029, but Bayern want to agree a new five-year contract with the France international. Furthermore, they intend to increase his wages from €15m per season to €25m, which could be more than he’d earn in the event of a move to Real Madrid.

Given the stance of both clubs, the deciding factor on whether a move happens could come down to whether Olise wants to join Real Madrid. For the moment, he is focused on the 2026 World Cup, but once his involvement comes to an end, he will have the chance to decide whether he wants a new challenge in his career.
For now, Real Madrid are putting plans in place to go for Olise, but they must wait until the player himself makes his call.
