The German champions’ confirmed sales have already surpassed the previous competition-high of 7,218, recorded when Benfica hosted Arsenal in October. The attendance marks a new milestone for Bayern’s women’s team, who have been steadily building support since returning to the Allianz earlier this season.
“The fact that so many spectators want to come to the Allianz Arena for our game again is really very nice. We are happy about everyone who comes,” said Bayern’s Klara Bühl, who described the growing enthusiasm for women’s football in Germany as “incredible”.
Bayern opened their Bundesliga campaign with a domestic record of 57,762 fans for their meeting with Bayer Leverkusen, underlining the surge in interest in the women’s game across the country.
Bühl and her teammates have made no secret of their determination to repeat last year’s success against Arsenal, when Bayern claimed a 5-2 win, though the winger acknowledged the scale of the challenge. “Arsenal, as the reigning Champions League winner, is a big task,” she said.

For Arsenal, the fixture will be another in a growing list of landmark occasions. The club have repeatedly shattered attendance records in England, drawing 60,160 to the Emirates for their WSL win over Manchester United in February 2024, and over 60,000 for March 2024’s clash with Tottenham.
Arsenal travel to Germany for the game on 12 November, four days after their WSL game against Chelsea and four before travelling to Tottenham.
