Could we be seeing the debut of one of Germany's next top talents tonight? Lennart Karl is confirmed to be part of Bayern Munich's squad when they face Augsburg in the WWK Arena on matchday 28.
Karl is 17 years old and currently plays for Bayern's U19 side. He started the season in the U17 team and contributed to 33 goals in 14 games (!) - proving that he was ready for the step-up.
Karl is mainly playing as an attacking midfielder, occasionally appearing on the right hand side of the midfield as well. The 17-year-old talent also made 10 appearances for Germany's U17 team, scoring 7 goals in the process.
With Bayern already looking ahead to the Champions League quarter final game against Inter on Tuesday, we could see the debut of the talented youngster tonight against Augsburg - if the scoreline allows it.
Head coach Vincent Kompany won't be experimenting too much with Leverkusen right on Bayern's tail - only if a win against Augsburg is secured, we could see Karl getting his first minutes for the 1st team.
