Congratulations to Iman Beney, who registered more assists than any other player since City’s entry into the FA Cup this season.
The Switzerland international finished the prestigious tournament with five assists in four appearances, featuring in every round for City aside from the final.
Beney missed out on a spot at Wembley due to injury, but more than played her part in helping Andrée Jeglertz’s side lift the trophy for the fourth time in our history.
After playing 70 minutes in our 6-0 fourth-round victory over Bournemouth, she then twice set up Lauren Hemp in our 4-0 success against Sheffield United at the Joie Stadium in Round Five.
Latching onto an Aoba Fujino through ball, Beney then slid across the face of goal perfectly for Hemp to tuck into an empty net.
She’d then repeat the trick against the Blades before the interval when cutting the ball back for Hemp to prod home our second of the afternoon.

That win set up a quarter-final meeting with Birmingham City, and Beney once again provided the precise pass to this time set up Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw at St. Andrew’s.
The Jamaican raced in behind to fire home the game’s only goal, as we secured passage into the last four.
With City trailing by two goals in the closing stages in our semi-final trip to Chelsea, Mary Fowler pulled Jeglertz’s team back into the tie, with Beney again setting up the Australian.
Time was running out, but the Swiss then battled bravely to keep the ball alive on the edge of the box, winning a duel before directing it to Shaw who struck on the turn to send the game to extra-time.
Many congratulations to Iman for recording the most assists in the FA Cup this season since Round Four!
