Benfica manager Jose Mourinho views his former club, Inter Milan, as one of the most genuine Scudetto contenders.
During his latest interview via FCInterNews, the ‘Special One’ delivered his verdict on a dramatic Serie A title battle.
With only one point separating the top three teams, this season’s Serie A title race is likely to go down to the wire.
Indeed, it’s arguably the most intense race for the domestic crown across Europe’s traditional top-five leagues.
AC Milan and Napoli are level on points at the summit, with the Nerazzurri trailing the leading duo by a single point.
Therefore, Cristian Chivu remains firmly in contention for the most prestigious trophy in Italian football in his first season at San Siro.
However, the road is long and tumultuous.
Without the distraction of European football, Milan have gone from strength to strength under returning boss Massimiliano Allegri.
Meanwhile, Napoli have fared well in Serie A despite their growing difficulties in the Champions League.

Fresh off beating Antonio Conte’s side in the Champions League, Mourinho addressed the Serie A title race.
Indeed, the famous Portuguese manager backed Inter and Napoli to challenge for the crown until the final weekend.
However, he thinks Milan could come out on top should their form hold up.
“Who’s the favorite? It’s hard to say,” Mourinho claimed. “Inter have enormous potential with a top-level squad, and Napoli are the same.
“Milan play only one match per week and have a fantastic coach like Max [Allegri], who can really train, unlike Cristian [Chivu] and Antonio [Conte], who have so many games to play.
“Unfortunately, I think it will be a fight between these three because I would love for Roma to win it.
