Bennacer to Atletico Madrid opens Rabiot for Milan move | OneFootball

If Atletico Madrid get Ismael Bennacer on loan, then Milan could sign Adrien Rabiot as a free agent, because Roma are on the verge of a deal for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone.

It is transfer deadline day and the deals must be completed by 11pm tonight UK time (22.00 GMT).

This is sparking a final rush of moves and there are quite a few shared targets on the Italian market.

According to Matteo Moretto, Atletico Madrid have asked to take Bennacer on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

If accepted, and it would require some payment, then Calciomercato.com believe Milan could turn to free agent Rabiot, whose contract with Juventus expired on June 30.

Their first target had been Kone of Borussia Monchengladbach, but multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia insist he is on the verge of joining Roma instead.

The initial offer was rejected, Gladbach want €20m plus another €5m in bonuses, but the player agreed personal terms and negotiations are continuing rapidly today.

It is widely believed Kone has booked a flight and will be in the Eternal City this afternoon, where his agent is already present on the ground.
