Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has selected his preferred destination when leaves the Etihad Stadium in June, as per a new report.
The 31-year-old is approaching the final months of his current deal in Manchester and is set to part ways with Pep Guardiola after nine seasons with the Catalan in England’s north-west.
Silva has led Manchester City to a plethora of silverware on the domestic, European and global fronts since joining from AS Monaco for £43 million in 2017.
However, as director of football Hugo Viana progresses his remake of City’s first-team squad, Silva is one of a wide array of senior stars set to leave the club at the end of the season.

There is little to no hope that Silva will put pen to paper and commit his long-term future to Manchester City, having wanted a fresh start for nearly five years.
The Portugal international wants to move closer to his homeland in Portugal and after leading Manchester City to their first trophy in two seasons – by winning the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal last month – the playmaker wants to leave on a high.
Silva has previously come close to leaving Manchester City following interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain but Guardiola and club bosses have fought long and hard to keep hold of one of their best-ever players.
However, it has been all but confirmed that the Manchester City skipper will turn over a new leaf in the summer and leave the club for a new start he has desired since 2020.
As reported by Martin Blackburn writing for Sun Sport, Bernardo Silva prefers a move to Barcelona to reunite with former Manchester City teammate and compatriot Joao Cancelo in western Europe.
Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are also in the running to sign the outgoing Manchester City midfielder, who is believed to be earning around £300,000-per-week at the Etihad Stadium.

It remains to be seen how and whether Barcelona can match Silva’s astronomical wages and if the Benfica academy graduate would have to take a pay cut to facilitate his dream move.
Sergio Aguero and Ilkay Gundogan have previously joined Barcelona from Manchester City on free transfers upon the expiration of their respective contracts at the Etihad Stadium in 2021 and 2023 respectively, with Silva now expected to follow suit.
