Beşiktaş climb into fourth as Ndidi sparks big home win

Beşiktaş beat Göztepe 4-0 in Istanbul to leap from fifth to fourth in the Süper Lig, ending the visitors' seven-match unbeaten run.

Wilfred Ndidi glanced in from close range in the ninth minute after Orkun Kökçü's cross from a corner, before Michael Murillo rifled into the top right from Kristjan Asllani's pass (36.).

After the restart, Junior Olaïtan finished off a break from Kökçü's through ball (59.). Moments later, Hyeon-gyu Oh lashed in Vaclav Cerny's cut-back (74.).

Mateusz Lis kept the score down with first half saves from Cerny and Murillo, but the visitors mustered only one effort on target.

Kara Kartal registered seven shots on target from 12 attempts and had 59.4% possession. Göztepe produced eight attempts but rarely threatened.
