Chelsea defender Axel Disasi is a target for Besiktas after being isolated from the first team at Stamford Bridge, according to Turkish-Football.
The Blues have been trying to ship Disasi off permanently this summer, but most suitors have proposed loan deals.
It is unclear whether Besiktas, 16-time champions of Turkey, want him on a temporary or permanent basis.
The Chelsea centre-back is part of the club’s ‘bomb squad’ alongside David Datro Fofana and Raheem Sterling.
However, he can still seal a move with the Turkish transfer window remaining open.
Besiktas have reportedly made preliminary inquiries and are ready to discuss a move with Chelsea and the player. They are seriously ‘pursuing’ his signature.
Signed from AS Monaco in 2023, Disasi, who has made 61 appearances for the Blues, was a mainstay under former manager Mauricio Pochettino.
He also started well under Enzo Maresca before he dropped him. He was allowed to join Aston Villa on loan.
Following his six-month stay, Villa did not sign Disasi, who returned to Chelsea this summer.
Former clubs Monaco and West Ham United were tracking his situation, but nothing materialised.
Saudi Pro League clubs also showed interest, but he rejected them. It is unclear if he’ll be open to moving to Turkey.
Even though Chelsea are currently short-staffed at the back, with Levi Colwill out with a long-term injury and Benoit Badiashile sidelined, Maresca has not called upon Disasi.
Disasi can be clunky when defending large spaces, and his positioning is also suspect. Chelsea are eager to cash in on the 27-year-old Frenchman.
Chelsea have a host of super-talented young defenders, such as Josh Acheampong, Mamadou Sarr, and Aaron Anselmino.
For now, the Blues will continue with Wesley Fofana, Trevoh Chalobah and Tosin Adarabioyo in the centre of defence.
