Bayer Leverkusen is reportedly exploring the possibility of signing veteran midfielder Christian Eriksen, who has been without a club since departing Manchester United this summer.
According to the Daily Express, the potential appointment of Kasper Hjulmand as Bayer's new head coach could prove instrumental in convincing the 33-year-old Dane to make the move to the Bundesliga.
Eriksen shares a strong existing relationship with the former Denmark national team manager, which may work in Leverkusen's favor.
The experienced playmaker contributed 5 goals and 6 assists in 35 appearances across all competitions for Manchester United last season before becoming a free agent upon the expiration of his contract.
