Birmingham City sign Manchester United pair Turner and Naalsund | OneFootball

Birmingham City have completed the permanent signings of Manchester United pair Millie Turner and Lisa Naalsund.

WSL Full-Time were informed of both deals via official club press releases from Birmingham City earlier today.

It has been reported that Blues have paid undisclosed transfer fees to Manchester United for both players.

Experienced defender Turner has spent the last eight years at Manchester United. She made 133 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring nine goals. Turner won Barclays WSL2 and the Adobe Women’s FA Cup with The Red Devils.

Midfielder Naalsund has spent the last three-and-a-half years with Manchester United. She made 74 appearances for the club, scoring eight goals. Like Turner, Naalsund won the Adobe Women’s FA Cup with the club.

After joining Birmingham City, Turner said “This is where I want to be. The way that the girls fight for each other and play for each other, it’s something that I really want to be part of.

“It’s an exciting project and I think there’s no ceiling to what we can achieve here.”

Naalsund also commented. She said “When I had the chats with the club, they just gave me instantly a very good feeling about it. When you’re debating which club to go to, it’s always that feeling in your stomach, and that just decides where you go.

“This was the place that just excited me the most and the people were really nice. I think it’s a really good project here, coming up to the WSL, and I feel like the future here can be quite bright. I’m just very excited to be a part of it.”
