Birmingham City drew 1-1 with Sheffield United in the Championship, rising from 10th to ninth after a first half red card and a saved penalty shaped the game.

In the 23rd minute, Femi Seriki was sent off for the visitors. Marvin Ducksch then whipped a free-kick into the top right (25.).
