Boca injuries: Cavani, Giménez, Battaglia and Palacios to miss Millonarios friendly

Boca are finalising preparations for their first pre-season friendly, hosting Millonarios at La Bombonera on Wednesday at 19:00, but Claudio Úbeda will be without four injured players.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, Edinson Cavani, Milton Giménez, Rodrigo Battaglia and Carlos Palacios will miss the match, which will also pay tribute to Miguel Ángel Russo.

Cavani has been dealing with lumbago for several weeks, an issue that prevented him featuring in the season finale against Racing. Giménez is sidelined with pubalgia.

Battaglia is nursing an insertional tendinopathy of the right Achilles tendon and has been training away from the main group. Palacios has synovitis in his right knee.

None of the quartet will play at the Alberto J. Armando stadium. They are also unlikely to feature on Sunday against Olimpia in San Nicolás.
