The 2026 Trophée des Champions between Paris Saint-Germain and RC Lens will be played at Bollaert-Delelis on 16 August. Lens qualified as Coupe de France winners after beating Nice 3-1, with PSG the French champions. The venue was chosen by an unusual draw held on Wednesday.

Bollaert-Delelis, competing with the Parc des Princes, got the nod. The LFP said in a statement that a 13:00 Wednesday draw would determine the home club.

The designation was exceptional because the fixture had initially been lined up to be played abroad, as in recent years. The league received proposals from Côte d'Ivoire and Congo, and a delegation even travelled to Abidjan to assess facilities.

Health doubts following the women’s Coupe de la Ligue match between OL Lyonnes and PSG, a 1-0 game played weeks earlier after which several players returned ill, prompted a decision to stage the match in France. The venue could only be set once both clubs were confirmed.

This method is not expected to be repeated, with the aim remaining to showcase French football internationally. The 2025 edition took place in Kuwait and generated €3.5 million.
